She/Her

I was interested in becoming a Trustee at Kairos Women+ after I learned about their mission to create fairer, more inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. I think it’s so important, especially in the current climate, for women and marginalised genders to be able to connect, grow and access opportunities. I am particularly interested in helping Kairos strengthen its equality, diversity and anti-racism work as I believe we all have a part to play in addressing inequalities and societal problems such as racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and more.

Professionally, I work at the University of Strathclyde, where I lead and support a wide range of equality initiatives, Alongside this, I also serve as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Associate Director at the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities (SGSAH), where I work to advance inclusive practice across Scotland’s higher education sector. Throughout my career, I have worked on initiatives to tackle gender-based violence, improve race equality, widen participation in higher education, and create more inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ people, disabled people and other underrepresented communities.

I also love to read, crochet, cook, and do yoga. I am a huge fan of science fiction and fantasy, but I also love literary and historical fiction. I love to learn and speak different languages, such as Italian, French and Punjabi. I am a beginner at gardening too and am currently trying to create a wee home for the bees, butterflies and ladybugs!
