Are you a kind, compassionate person with a passion for human rights? We are looking to recruit a kind and committed professional to lead Visible Women+, a new 3-year project funded by the Scottish Government via the Equality and Human Rights Fund.

The Organisation

Kairos Women+ is a community-led, women’s space based in Renfrewshire. A second home for women and non-binary folk, we inspire transformational change in the lives of the women+ we work with by collaboratively creating opportunities through workshops, events, training, and courses.

  • “Kairos Women+ has given me an insight into all different types of people and backgrounds. There is no stigma here at all and that is such a positive thing.” – Kairos participant
  • “Kairos has made me feel wanted for the first time in a long time.” – Kairos participant
  • “At Kairos, I feel like I’m thriving not just surviving.” – Kairos participant

The Project

Visible Women+ is a participatory project which aims to increase women’s influence in the development and delivery of human rights awareness raising workshops through training and consultation. It will also provide one-to-one support and voluntary opportunities to women+, particularly those with multiple protected characteristics.

The role involves working closely with our campaigning group, the Equalities Collective, to undertake a consultation focussed on women and non-binary people’s human rights. The role involves a significant amount of workshop development, delivery, and evaluation. In addition, the post-holder will be working closely with women+ to improve their access to human rights and increasing the accessible communication across the organisation. See the attached documents for a fuller breakdown of the role and responsibilities.

We strongly encourage applications from Black, Asian, and other minority ethnic women+, trans women+ and disabled women+.
