We are committed to keeping you safe. We follow all government guidelines to ensure we are protecting our community. This includes: the use of masks, a period of quarantine for all posted items, hand hygiene, cleaning all spaces regularly, smaller group sizes and 2-metre distancing. We will follow government guidelines in line with changing restrictions and ensure full risk assessments are completed ahead of new activity being offered. We’ll be open and transparent about the safety guidelines for any group you plan to attend.
Kairos Women+ moved to online provision the week lockdown was announced providing cookery and craft classes as well as weekly Zoom workshops and support calls. You can watch all of our video classes here. Since then, our community has not stopped growing! We have launched a range of new projects during lockdown including A Brew and Blether (our podcast), Kairos Chronicle (our zine) as well as our Recovery Space and Mental Health Support Group. A number of our regular in-person groups moved online including Making Her Mark, Kairos Museum, Kairos Kitchen, Creative Cafe and the Equalities Collective. Find out about all our projects here.
Due to the impact of Covid-19, we recognised the increased need for food in our community so we delivered food to families across Renfrewshire between July 2020-June 2021. This was possible thanks to FareShare and the Renfrewshire Food Provision Network, which includes the Darkwood Crew, EBI Unites and the STAR Project. Our volunteer drivers delivered over 6000 meals, providing not just food but kindness and love when we need it the most.
In June 2021, we started the transition back to in-person activity with regular Walk & Talks in Paisley and Johnstone and indoor groups from July 2021. Take a look at our What’s On page for full details.
